- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- Β½ tsp black pepper
- ΒΌ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Marinate the chicken: Add chicken breasts (or thighs) to a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
- Refrigerate: Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 6 hours for maximum flavor.
- Cook: Remove chicken from marinade and cook as desired (grill, bake, or pan-fry) until the internal temperature reaches 165Β°F (74Β°C).
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
