  2. 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  3. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  4. 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or any topping of choice)
  5. 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  6. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  7. 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  8. Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  • Slice the French bread in half lengthwise, then place the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over each piece of bread.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  • Add your preferred toppings (like pepperoni, vegetables, or cooked sausage).
  • Sprinkle dried oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes over the top.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil (if desired), slice, and serve!

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your toppings – mushrooms, olives, onions, or bell peppers are great additions!
