- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla, and beat until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, alternating with buttermilk, until fully combined.
- Stir in the pureed strawberries until evenly mixed.
- Divide the batter evenly between the cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat together powdered sugar, butter, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Frost the cooled cakes with the strawberry frosting and serve!
