- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and well combined.
- Add the eggs, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a more intense orange flavor, feel free to add extra orange zest.
- These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
