- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch (if using), black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Add the cooked steak back into the skillet, then pour the prepared sauce over the top. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the steak is fully coated.
