This Philly Cheese Steak Casserole brings together all the delicious flavors of a classic Philly sandwich in a comforting casserole form. With tender steak, sautéed peppers, onions, and melty cheese, this dish is perfect for a hearty meal that the whole family will love!

 


Ingredients

  1. 1 lb. ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  2. 1 medium onion, sliced
  3. 1 bell pepper, sliced
  4. 2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
  5. 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  6. 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  7. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  8. ½ cup milk
  9. 2 tbsp olive oil
  10. Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sauté onions, peppers, and steak until vegetables are tender and steak is cooked through.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soup, milk, and season with salt and pepper.
  • In a greased baking dish, layer the hash browns, steak mixture, and top with cheese.
  • Pour the soup mixture evenly over the casserole.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding sautéed mushrooms to the steak mixture.
  • You can swap out the hash browns for tater tots or even cooked pasta for a different twist.
