A flavorful and hearty dish, this beef fried rice is packed with tender beef, colorful vegetables, and savory seasonings. It’s a great way to use up leftover rice and make a quick, satisfying meal!

- 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
- 3 cups cooked rice (preferably cold)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup carrots, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining oil and sautΓ© the onion, bell pepper, carrots, and garlic for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the empty space. Scramble the eggs until cooked through.
- Add the cold rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps. Stir to combine with the vegetables and eggs.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan, then add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well to coat the rice evenly.
- Stir in the green onions and cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with more soy sauce, salt, or pepper if needed. Serve hot!
Notes
- For best results, use cold, day-old rice to avoid soggy fried rice.
- You can add additional veggies like peas or corn for extra flavor and texture.
- For a spicier kick, add a dash of chili flakes or hot sauce.
