Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs starchy potatoes (like Russets)
  • 1 lb pork sausages
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into equal pieces, then place them in a pot of cold salted water.
  2. Boil the potatoes over high heat for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. While boiling, cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat for 10-12 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté diced onions until translucent (about 5-7 minutes). Add flour and stir for one minute before gradually whisking in beef broth until smooth.
  5. Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot, add butter and milk, and mash until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve mashed potatoes topped with sausages and gravy.
