For the cheesecake layer:

  1. 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  2. 1 cup sugar

  4. 3 large eggs
  5. 1/2 cup sour cream
  6. 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • Make the brownie layer: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Prepare the cheesecake layer: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add vanilla extract and mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth and combined.
  • Assemble the cheesecake: Carefully pour the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer in the pan. Use a spatula to smooth the top.
  • Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set and the top is lightly golden. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour. Afterward, remove it from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Serve: Once fully chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Slice and enjoy this delicious layered dessert
