- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the blueberries and chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a little sugar on top of the muffins before baking.
- You can use frozen blueberries, but don’t thaw them to prevent color bleeding.
- Substitute the mini chocolate chips with regular-sized chips for a richer chocolate experience.
